National Storytelling Week at New Park Primary School 2017

It is always my pleasure to return to New Park Primary School in Liverpool. Especially during National Storytelling Week. Like many of the schools I visit it’s a place of joy and welcome.

“Hello Gav! Are you telling our class stories today?”

“Have we got you today?”

“You are the story man!”

New Park Primary has a 4D Immersive space. I arrive with USB stick in hand ready to load the stories that have been selected from the list on offer. Over the two days there, during National Storytelling Week, I will have the privilege of working with every single class. From the Nursery tour of The Bears House to Year 6.

We tiptoed through traditional stories told with a twist. Told tales of Liverpool in some of its most significant Historical times. Stories from other cultures. Stories to inspire adventures.

Stories to fire imagination and writing.

Stories to intrigue.

Stories that take us back.

Stories that send us forward and up!

And maybe stories that send a shiver… (It gets cold in the Atlantic…)

Your School:

Have a look at the stories and maybe I can bring the USB to your school or event?

Don’t worry if you don’t have a 4D Immersive space – I can bring a PopUp one with me…
